Hey Gang,
I have no idea what the Bonus II pack's Arena does. What are "Rudis"?

A Rudis is a wooden sword that is given a Gladiator who earns their freedom.
Here's how the Arena works. If you Pick it, then it Attacks. (Note that Refilling your Tray doesn't count as a Pick.) The Attack has your opponent Reveal two Creatures, skipping any that have a Rudis. The Creature with the higher Resource Cost is Moved back to its Reserve and is given a Rudis. The other Creature is Dumped.
So, having a Creature with Rudis protects that Creature from future Arena attacks.

So once a creature earns a rudi his whole race is safe from the arena for the rest of the game whether newly purchased or already in a player's deck?

Almost -- only the particular Creature that "won" the arena fight, received the Rudis, and was moved back to its Reserve gets a Rudis. The other Creatures of the same type have to earn their own Rudis.
Since Creature is moved to the top of its Reserve, you'll see the Rudis on that Reserve, indicating that the top-most creature has a Rudis. If you Acquire that Creature, and the next Creature in the stack doesn't have a Rudis, you will not see one on that Reserve anymore.

Oh, so this gets deep, by playing the Arena I screw over other players but now I create new "Rudis Enhanced" creatures out on the board for the taking, and more than likely, by the other players.

That's correct! They're Arena hardened!
